Manifestation has its place in life

As more people continue leaving religion in massive droves, some are turning to spirituality as an alternative. Of course, there are many forms of spirituality from all over the world, some are even older than christianity.

Of the many forms of spirituality, one of the most popular forms are the ones having to do with manifestation.

First of all, what is manifestation?

The belief that by mentally focusing on someone, or something long enough, or hard enough, it will somehow find its way to you. A very good example of this is if a woman wants to get married, but she has yet to meet a suitable partner, she may try to manifest “Mr. Right” by daydreaming about all his features. His smile, his dark hair. You get the idea.

Likewise, if someone is constantly talking about an enemy, someone else who has overheard them may interject by saying, “speak of the devil, and he may appear.”

The belief in manifestation might be reinforced through the confirmation bias of a few scattered coincidences. That’s how all beliefs even begin in the first place.

Now, manifestation has become so popular that “fence-walkers” have even mixed up some of the spirituality with christianity, which has its own belief system separate and apart. That’s how you get christians talking about “karma” like they invented it, when karma is an eastern concept that is older than christianity.

With manifestation being part of spirituality, many westerners, christians or otherwise, are turning to the practice of manifestation. They listen to the tapes, either; in the car, in the shower, at the office, etc. They think that by focusing on something, it shall be theirs if they try hard enough. Then… it doesn’t!

Or it did the first time, and they lucked out, then it never happened again, so now they think that manifestation is a hoax. Just another fading fad.

Now here’s the thing, manifestation is as real as you reading these words on your screen right now. But they’re going about it the wrong way. Or did they literally think that they possessed the power to call upon rain to fall from the sky?

Those tapes you’ve been listening to? The positive affirmations won’t manifest your dreams out of thin air, but it will definitely manifest a change in your mindset, and how you see yourself. That’s the kind of positive reinforcement that builds confidence.

Now here’s the catch, that kind of confidence doesn’t get built overnight. Mindset shifts can take years to become second nature. And even then, it still may not be perfect. You may catch yourself slipping a couple of times. However, it is still very much possible.

Ok, great! So now that you have manifested the psychological profile that becomes a part of your identity like installing a new plugin for your app, there’s also a mechanical aspect of manifestation that is so vitally necessary to where manifestation is utterly useless without it.

You’ve gotta get up and take action.

You just gotta fucking do it!

Mindset shift. Try. Fail. Learn. Try again. Keep Trying. Keep showing up. Never quit.

Dreamers dream that they have powers. Winners manifest.

Sometimes, the only positive reinforcement you need is in knowing that you had the audacity to take the first step when everybody else around you was filled with doubt.

That is the feeling I get every time I think about the time when I decided to start my first book. I remember that time being filled with much doubt and uncertainty. And look at me now. I just launched my first website. And you ain’t seen nothing yet!

If I can manifest, so can you.

Now go manifest.

Do you believe manifestation takes manual effort on the part of the wisher?
